Here at Operating Together, we are a passionate and dedicated team united by a shared vision of creating a better world through partnership and innovation in trauma care. By connecting healthcare professionals, sharing knowledge, and fostering professional relationships across divides, we strive to improve regional trauma care and save more lives. Our mission extends beyond medicine, aiming to bridge gaps between colleagues and neighbors, proving that even the smallest teams can make a profound difference when united by purpose.

Our Story

As a resident in Tel Aviv, Dr. Goldstein noticed the frequent transfer of trauma and emergency patients between Israeli and Palestinian hospitals. These transfers often occurred without a clear line of communication or follow-up between the treating facilities, leading to significant challenges and sub-optimal patient care. Meanwhile, Dr. Jreis, a specialist in anesthesiology and intensive care, witnessed firsthand the severe lack of access to basic trauma training in Palestinian hospitals.

Driven by a shared commitment to improving trauma care, Dr. Goldstein pursued his specialization, recognizing the critical importance of regional trauma care to ensure that every patient receives the best possible care and has the opportunity to return to their normal life. Through the introduction of a mutual friend, Dr. Goldstein and Dr. Jreis connected, bringing together their expertise, dedication, and vision. Out of this partnership, Operating Together was born.
